Facebook收购Bitgames并推出市场研究应用程序

Facebook announced on November 26 (local time) that it has acquired Beat Games, a developer of the popular VR rhythm game Beat Saber. In the future, it will be affiliated with Oculus Studio, but it is expected to be operated as an independent development studio as before.

As Beat Games becomes a subsidiary of Oculus, you may be concerned about how the Beat Saver update will be in the future. It is said to be releasing Bit Saver content and updates simultaneously on all currently supported platforms. In addition, the 360-degree mode will be added in December as an additional content for Beat Saver, and it is planned to add a number of music within this year.

Bit Saver is also actively developing mod data MODs, but it is said that it will continue to support if it is a legitimate one that does not contain malicious code and does not infringe copyright. However, the company did not comment on whether the upcoming Beat Games will be released on other platforms other than Oculus. As Facebook announced that it acquired BitGames by supporting the development of virtual reality games, it may be possible to expect a multi-platform launch as well as Bit Saver. Meanwhile, Facebook has also launched Facebook Viewpoints, a market research app for investigating user life situations and testing new products. User data obtained through this app will be used to improve products such as Facebook, Instagram and Oculus.

Facebook Viewpoint prepares various tasks and can earn reward points by completing all of them. Points can be used with payment service PayPal. In the case of the user happiness survey conducted by Igo, if you answer to the end, you can receive rewards available for 1,000 points and $5 with PayPal.

Facebook has been running a paid information collection program before. However, it ended when it was revealed that it was collecting data in violation of Apple’s terms and conditions. Therefore, there are concerns about this information-gathering app, but this time, it is emphasizing the transparency of the app by confirming that the user is 18 years of age or older when registering and not sharing the obtained information with others.

This app has been distributed only on the App Store, and the target area is limited to Facebook users in the US. However, it is said that the target area will be expanded in the future. Related information can be found here .
