HyperStealth Biotechnology, located in Vancouver, Canada, has applied for a patent for a new material that makes it visually transparent when wrapped like a transparent cloak appearing in the Harry Potter series. Inventing a new material called Quantum Stealth.
A material called quantum stealth is said to be able to hide not only the visible light of an object, but also ultraviolet, infrared, short-wave infrared, and thermal radiation of an object. The company claims that quantum stealth is a new material that makes it possible to realize optical camouflage in a broadband.
Quantum stealth is a paper-thin and inexpensive material that does not require power. The company said, “It is possible to hide people, vehicles, ships, spacecraft, and buildings.” Among the patents, quantum stealth is described as composed of 13 types of materials. Quantum stealth is said to be able to hide objects in any environment, day or night.
As stated earlier, quantum stealth can block heat emission in addition to visible light, so it cannot detect even thermal imaging cameras. It works without problems at night, and even in dark places with short-wave infrared rays and little light. The same is true for infrared lighting. Being able to hide objects inside from any angle, anywhere in 360 degrees. Related information can be found here .
