美国电动汽车销量超过手动变速箱

According to a survey conducted by market research firm JD Power, the number of electric vehicles sold in the third quarter of 2019 in the U.S. exceeded those equipped with manual transmissions. Of the total car sales, the ratio of manual transmission vehicles was only 1.1%, while electric vehicles recorded 1.9%.

JD Power said on the Canadian car information site Driving, that models without manual transmission range from medium-sized to small sedans. Of course, manual transmission models are popular in some models, but only for niche markets. Although such manual transmission models continue to decline, it is said that electric vehicles have a meaning in this market that surpassed those of the last century in 10 years.

The increase in electric vehicles also contributes to the growing interest in environmental issues and, above all, the price of electric vehicles becoming cheaper. From the perspective of automakers, it can be seen that commercially, there is little need to make a manual transmission vehicle. Of course, there is also a side in which cars enjoy driving more than simply carrying people or objects. In this respect, Ford is also making it clear that it is developing an electric powered Mustang test car equipped with a manual transmission while being an electric vehicle.
